Huddersfield African Caribbean Cultural Trust, in partnership with the Kirklees Council, organises Huddersfield Carnival, a three day programme of four events held annually during the second weekend in July. 

HACCT - is a registered Charity also facilitates a year round programme of participatory cultural activities rooted in the Caribbean tradition, with schools, young people and families which feeds and sustains Carnival Weekend.

Huddersfield Carnival is the largest event to take place in Kirklees in terms of number of participants and audience. Conservative estimates suggest that over 30,000 people attend the Huddersfield Carnival each year.  It therefore represents a significant event in the town’s cultural calendar and provides a substantial boost to the local economy.
